_{The Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools serves 1600 students ranging from PreK-12 and is a free, open-enrollment public charter school. Over 92% of our students are Latinx. Our school system consists of Guadalupe Centers High School, Guadalupe Centers Middle School, and Guadalupe Centers Elementary School. _{Duties/Responsibilities:}  

• _{Create a safe and positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.}
• _{Implement instructional activities that contribute to a positive climate where students are actively engaged in the learning process.} 
• _{Implement ESL strategies and scaffolding for student understanding (Listening and reading), student interaction, and student production (Speaking and writing) across all WIDA levels to increase the achievement of English Language Learners (ELDs) across all content area standards.}
• _{Identify instructional resources and strategies to address the needs of individual students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.} 
• _{Maintain effective and efficient record-keeping procedures for the purpose of documenting student progress and meeting mandated requirements.} 
• _{Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the implementation of the established curriculum.}
• _{Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.} 
• _{Serve as a positive role model for the purpose of demonstrating professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.} 
• _{Assess student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or standards for the purpose of determining gains in student performance and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration.} 
• _{Participate in professional growth opportunities.} 
• _{Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits and other related duties for the purpose of ensuring an effective work environment. Attend all meetings with parents and give input concerning the creation of an Individual Education Plan or a 504 Plan}
• _{Ensure implementation of all modifications and accommodations for students with Special Needs (IEP/504)}
• _{Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement of professional practice, cultural competence, and ability to meet the specific instructional needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students.}

_{Education and Experience:}

• _{Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education.}
• _{Missouri State Certification in Elementary or Secondary Education.} 

• _{Two to four years of experience working in a classroom setting.}
• _{Experience in an urban school setting is preferred.} 
• _{Bilingual ability, English required and Spanish preferred.}
• _{Highly Qualified Status (this status requires the following)}
• _{Bachelor’s Degree.}
• _{Appropriate certification for the course/grade level being taught.}
• _{Documentation of content expertise in the area being taught.} 

_{Physical Requirements:}

• _{Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout school and classroom.} 
• _{Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.}
• _{Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.}
